Protect tenants, permissions, and customer data

Build new features.
Find security gaps.

Every new role, integration, and workflow changes how people reach your product and its data. Go beyond the expected user journey to find weaknesses in the boundaries your customers depend on.

Keep every tenant separate.

A valid user in one workspace should not reach another customer’s data. We test tenant boundaries across records, files, and application workflows.

Tenant isolation & data access

Put permissions to the test.

Invitations, role changes, and administrative actions can hide access-control gaps. Explore whether users can gain permissions or perform actions beyond their intended role.

Roles, sessions & business logic

Follow the data through APIs.

APIs, webhooks, and integrations connect your product to other systems. Test authorization, token handling, and sensitive-data exposure across the endpoints in scope.

SaaS pentesting FAQ

We’re here to help.

Get answers about scope, compliance, and what to expect. Have another question?

Let’s chat
What parts of a SaaS product can Halo penetration test?

We can scope web applications, APIs, mobile apps, and supporting external or internal networks. Testing can cover tenant isolation, authentication, user roles, file handling, and product workflows. Cloud-hosted environments are assessed within the assets and permissions agreed before testing.

How do you test tenant isolation and user permissions?

We use agreed test tenants and accounts with representative roles to assess whether users can access another tenant’s records, files, or actions. Scope can include invitations, administrative workflows, API access, and other paths where permissions are enforced.

Can we use a staging environment?

Yes. A staging environment can be appropriate when it reflects the production architecture, configuration, and workflows being assessed. We agree on the environment and document relevant differences so the report is clear about what the results cover. Production testing can be scoped separately when needed.

Will the report help with SOC 2 and enterprise customer reviews?

The report, attestation letter, and retest results can provide evidence of testing and remediation within the agreed scope. Share audit objectives and customer requests during scoping. A pentest does not replace a SOC 2 examination or guarantee acceptance by a customer or auditor.

What deliverables are included?

Every engagement includes a detailed report, prioritized findings, supporting evidence, remediation recommendations, direct access to your tester, an attestation letter, and one round of retesting after fixes are ready.

How much does a penetration test cost, and how long does it take?

Penetration testing starts at $3,950. Pricing and timing depend on the applications, networks, user roles, and workflows in scope. After a scoping conversation, we provide a fixed-price proposal and schedule, with reporting, remediation support, and one round of retesting included.
