Protect members, accounts, and essential services

Member trust.
Stronger defenses.

Your members rely on digital banking, lending, and branch services every day. Test the access controls and connected workflows that protect their information and keep financial activity in the right hands.

Protect every member account.

A member login should only reach the right accounts and records. Test authentication, account recovery, and role-based access across the applications in scope.

Member portals & account access

Test the rules behind transactions.

Transfers, loan applications, and approval workflows depend on more than a secure login. We explore business logic and connected APIs using agreed test accounts and scenarios.

Digital banking, lending & APIs

Check the paths between systems.

Branches, staff networks, and remote access create connections an attacker may try to cross. Assess exposed services, internal privileges, and network boundaries.

Credit Union pentesting FAQ

We’re here to help.

Get answers about scope, compliance, and what to expect. Have another question?

Let’s chat
What credit union systems can Halo penetration test?

We can scope testing around member portals, digital banking applications, loan workflows, mobile apps, APIs, external services, and internal networks. Core banking platforms and other vendor-hosted systems require appropriate authorization and agreement on testing boundaries.

Can you test our digital banking provider’s systems?

Testing is limited to systems your credit union is authorized to assess. We help define which applications, configurations, and integrations are in scope and identify any provider approvals needed before testing. A contract with a vendor does not automatically authorize testing its infrastructure.

How do you plan testing around member services?

We agree on test accounts, transaction limits, testing windows, escalation contacts, and stop conditions before work begins. Where appropriate, a staging environment and synthetic member records help validate issues while limiting operational impact.

Can the report support an NCUA examination or internal audit?

The report and retest results can help document testing and remediation within the agreed scope. Share examiner requests and internal audit objectives during scoping so the engagement produces relevant evidence. A pentest alone does not establish regulatory compliance or guarantee an examination outcome.

What deliverables are included?

Every engagement includes a detailed report, prioritized findings, supporting evidence, remediation recommendations, direct access to your tester, an attestation letter, and one round of retesting after fixes are ready.

How much does a penetration test cost, and how long does it take?

Penetration testing starts at $3,950. Pricing and timing depend on the applications, networks, user roles, and workflows in scope. After a scoping conversation, we provide a fixed-price proposal and schedule, with reporting, remediation support, and one round of retesting included.
