Protect clients, matters, and confidential work

Confidential work.
Confident defenses.

Client portals, shared documents, and remote access put sensitive information within reach of the people who need it. Test whether those same systems keep unauthorized users out.

Keep client matters confidential.

Access to one matter should not expose another. Test client portals and document permissions for weaknesses across the roles and workflows in scope.

Client portals & matter-level access

Check how documents are shared.

File uploads, download links, and collaboration workflows can create unintended access. We examine how your applications handle sensitive documents.

Document sharing & application controls

Test access across your firm.

Attorneys, staff, and approved vendors connect from different locations. Assess remote access, identity controls, and internal paths an attacker could use.

Law Firm pentesting FAQ

We’re here to help.

Get answers about scope, compliance, and what to expect. Have another question?

Let’s chat
What systems can Halo test for a law firm?

We can scope testing around client portals, document-sharing applications, APIs, remote-access services, and internal networks. We confirm which systems your firm owns or is authorized to test, including any vendor-hosted applications.

Can you test access between clients and matters?

Yes, where the application and authorization allow it. We use agreed test accounts and representative roles to evaluate whether users can access documents or records outside their permissions. Synthetic matters and test documents help avoid unnecessary access to confidential material.

Will testing expose confidential client information?

During scoping, we agree on test data, access limits, evidence handling, and confidentiality requirements. We use synthetic documents and matters where possible and define how any sensitive information encountered will be handled.

Can the report support a client security questionnaire?

The report, attestation letter, and retest results can provide evidence of testing and remediation within the agreed scope. Share the client’s requirements during scoping so deliverables address the relevant systems and questions. A pentest is not a certification of overall security or legal compliance.

What deliverables are included?

Every engagement includes a detailed report, prioritized findings, supporting evidence, remediation recommendations, direct access to your tester, an attestation letter, and one round of retesting after fixes are ready.

How much does a penetration test cost, and how long does it take?

Penetration testing starts at $3,950. Pricing and timing depend on the applications, networks, user roles, and workflows in scope. After a scoping conversation, we provide a fixed-price proposal and schedule, with reporting, remediation support, and one round of retesting included.
