Yes. Before testing, we agree on scope, timing, test accounts, communication paths, and rules of engagement. The approach is tailored to the sensitivity of the environment so testers can validate meaningful risks without unnecessary disruption.
Penetration testing can support applicable security and compliance requirements, but a pentest by itself does not certify an organization’s overall compliance. Certain financial institutions covered by the FTC Safeguards Rule may need periodic penetration testing when continuous monitoring is not used. Your legal, audit, or compliance advisors should confirm which requirements apply.
Every engagement includes a detailed penetration testing report, prioritized findings, supporting evidence, remediation recommendations, direct access to your tester, an attestation letter, and a round of retesting after fixes are ready.
Timing depends on the number and complexity of systems in scope. A focused engagement often includes about one week of active testing, followed by reporting, remediation support, and retesting. We provide a specific schedule during scoping.
