Protect accounts, checkout, and orders

Secure the journey.
From login to checkout.

A storefront is more than a catalog. Customer accounts, promotions, payments, and fulfillment all depend on rules that attackers may try to bypass. Test those rules and the systems behind them.

Protect every customer account.

Test whether account recovery, sessions, and permissions keep shoppers’ information in the right hands, including order history and saved addresses.

Customer accounts & order privacy

Put checkout logic to the test.

Explore how prices, discounts, refunds, and order states behave when someone steps outside the expected flow. Validate business logic with controlled test transactions.

Checkout, pricing & order workflows

Check the connections behind orders.

Storefronts depend on APIs, fulfillment tools, and administrative access. We look for weaknesses in the connections and permissions included in your scope.

Explore compliance testing

PCI DSS

For payment-card environments, define penetration testing scope around the systems and network boundaries relevant to your PCI DSS assessment. Confirm applicable requirements with your assessor; a pentest alone does not establish compliance.

Payment-page security

Third-party scripts and payment integrations deserve explicit attention during scoping. Point-in-time penetration testing complements ongoing payment-page protections and monitoring.

A partner for ecommerce teams

Customer confidence.
From cart to delivery.

Your customers expect their accounts and orders to stay private. Your operations team needs pricing, payment, and fulfillment workflows to behave as intended, even when someone tries to manipulate them.

Turn findings into actionable fixes for engineering and operations. Understand which workflows are affected, reproduce the issue, and verify that the correction closes the gap.

  • Findings grounded in your business.

Discuss checkout behavior, account access, and API permissions directly with your tester. Connect weaknesses to customer data and order integrity.

Ecommerce pentesting FAQ

We’re here to help.

Get answers about scope, compliance, and what to expect. Have another question?

Let’s chat
What ecommerce systems can Halo penetration test?

We can test storefronts, customer portals, mobile shopping apps, custom checkout workflows, APIs, and supporting networks. Scope may include administrative functions, order management, and fulfillment integrations where you have authorization to test.

Can you test checkout without creating real orders?

We agree on test accounts, test payment methods, and order-handling rules before testing. A staging environment or payment sandbox may be appropriate. If production testing is included, we coordinate transaction limits and operational safeguards with your team.

Can you test a store built on a hosted commerce platform?

We can assess the applications, integrations, and custom functionality you are authorized to test. The underlying platform and payment provider may have separate testing policies or require permission. We confirm those boundaries during scoping.

Does penetration testing cover all of PCI DSS?

No. Penetration testing can support applicable PCI DSS requirements within an agreed scope. It does not replace the broader assessment, required scanning, or ongoing controls. Your assessor should confirm how testing fits your environment and validation obligations.

What deliverables are included?

Every engagement includes a detailed report, prioritized findings, supporting evidence, remediation recommendations, direct access to your tester, an attestation letter, and one round of retesting after fixes are ready.

How much does a penetration test cost, and how long does it take?

Penetration testing starts at $3,950. Pricing and timing depend on the applications, networks, user roles, and workflows in scope. After a scoping conversation, we provide a fixed-price proposal and schedule, with reporting, remediation support, and one round of retesting included.
